Whether you are moving into an existing kitchen, remodeling the one you have or building a new one, understanding a few key measurements and organizational guidelines can help your culinary life run more smoothly.
Kitchens provide storage for your food and cookware, give you room for prep and cleanup, and of course also provide a place where you can cook and bake. We see photographs all the time that have no linkable source to their designers. Adding a Pinterest Button is a great way make sure you receive the credit for your intellectual property. Kelly Ward of Digital K offers a quick and easy way to add a Pinterest Button to your photos for a one time fee of $29! Above are summer colors, and she has winter colors available for download, too. On her blog she gives detailed directions as to how to install and use these downloads.
Here is one of our blog posts on a customized iPhone cover. The button links directly to our Minutes Matter Pinterest account. I love the hover button now others can easily pin our images. Kelly offers other services as well, such as adding social media buttons to share your site, links to your social media pages, and adding a signature to the end of blog posts. Kelly was very easy to work with and within a couple of days it was done! If you’re interested in having Kelly set up your Pinterest Button, contact her directly.

Minutes Matter Studio’s Rendering ~ sells the job!
Marie Mouradian, a Studio Coaching Level II graduate, was featured in the September/October issue of Window Fashion Vision Magazine. Below is her article:
by Marie Mouradian, WFCP Expert, Window Designs, Etc., Jefferson, MA
Photographed on installation day!
Marie Mouradian was thrilled when a long-time client, who had decorated every other room in her home, finally gave the go-ahead to do the master bedroom. Mouradian took the WFCP Studio Level II Coaching session in January of 2013 and used the bedroom as one of the projects. “I presented alternates to the client using renderings completed in Studio, which allowed her to easily visualize the options,” said Mouradian. “It made the decision process much easier!”
Photographed prior to installation!
The client had opted to keep the existing (15+ years) Duettes but on the day of the installation agreed that they needed to be replaced. “A few more things are needed to complete the room,” said Mouradian. “The client is hoping to pick up linens for the nightstands in an upcoming trip to Italy. Taller lamps and an area rug at the chair end of the room will also be shopped for, but I suspect we’ll end up doing a custom rug.” ~
What a room makeover! Congratulations Marie.

Pantone announced their “Color of the Year” for 2014 Radiant Orchid. What do you think? What accents or rooms will this color be used in? Very soothing to the eye.
Each year, my friends at Design Success University conduct a survey of interior design professionals, to gather the most comprehensive, up-to-date information about how much people are earning. It’s called the Interior Design Fee & Salary Survey – and you’re invited to take it!
